March 2021 Fasting & Prayers — Day 3

March 2021 Fasting & Prayers — Day 3

Open and Close

Scripture For Meditation: Deuteronomy 28:1-24

We’ve been meditating and praying on the Theme: Open Heavens, as we’ve waited on the Lord in fasting for this month’s sessions.

But the thing is, if there are open heavens, it means also that there are possibilities of there being closed heavens as well.

If the heavens are closed over you, no amount of prayer or fasting, binding and loosening or prophesying will make any difference in your life or situation.

So, our main task and objective today, is to deal with the state of the heavens over our lives.

What Causes The Heavens to Be Closed?

Before we look at this, let’s first see what the bible says about “closed heavens”:

Heavens Like Brass and Earth Like Iron

Have you ever been in that place? Have you ever experienced a season in your life, when it appeared as though the heavens were like brass and the earth like iron? Have you ever gotten to the point where it seems like that last verse is playing out in a particular situation or your life in general?

A type of reenactment of that frustrating Jobsian moment like when job well in dire straits declared: “No matter where I turn or look, I can’t seem to find Him; if only I could get Him to hear my case”! Only this was not about some character in the bible, it is about you and the struggles you have been going through!

Shuttered Heavens

Even though the scripture that we just read was about God detailing through Moses to the children of Israel, the curses that would be the consequences of them breaking covenant and walking in disobedience to Him, there are times in our lives when that last verse seems to be our default state of affairs — Nothing seems to be coming down from heaven and nothing is coming up from the earth in spite of all our efforts!

It is like the heavens are shut up against us and the earth has refused to release the harvest from our labours and efforts. We have cried out to God in prayers and supplication; we have begged, grovelled and “faithed” our way through, but what we have believed God for has not materialised.

Then Mercy Spoke…

In 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, Solomon had a visitation from God at the dedication ceremony of the temple he had just built.

It is interesting to note that the promise that God made to Solomon made a reference to shut up heavens and its consequences. He then went on to proffer a solution to the problem —

13“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land”.

PRAYER FOCUS

There are so many people going through a hard time right now. So many countries are buckling under the strain of recession and economic downturn. A lot of business are on the brink of collapse; marriages are failing and depression and suicide rates are rising. Unrighteousness and sinful living has become the order of the day.

So many dear saints are going through personal crises and are frustrated waiting for God to show up and bring deliverance. Can God see, does He hear, Does He still even care?

Dear friend, If the promise of reprieve from shut up heavens and restoration of God’s favour was made to Solomon in respect of an earthly building – the temple, can you imagine how much more glorious and powerful our heritage as New Testament Christians who are joint-heirs with Christ is; and for whom the precious blood of Jesus is speaking atonement on our behalf?

God said to Solomon — If His people humbled themselves and pray and seek His face and turn from their wicked ways, He will heal and forgive and restore.

That is our prayer today; our hearts cry to God.

If per chance, the sins of the land have stood between our welfare and God’s blessings, if the heavens have been shut up over our business, our ministry, church, home, marriage, children, family line, city or geographical area because of corporate or personal transgressions, we have a reprieve in God’s promise; we have an advocate in Christ Jesus!

Let’s humble ourselves before God today. Let’s stand in the gap for our families, the corporate body or group that we identify with. Let’s turn our face towards heaven; let’s repent and cry out to God to forgive our corporate and individual sins.

Let’s cry out to Him in faith —

Lord have mercy, Lord, hear us; Lord heal our land. Lord remember your promises and the blood that Your Son Jesus Christ shed for us on the cross. Lord please relent in your anger. Lord, Heal my life.

Pray this prayer in faith and hold on to the promises of God. We are believing together that there will be a turnaround in our situations — God will hear from heaven and answer us speedily; we are going from a life of delayed and unanswered prayers to a life of victory and favour with God and man in Jesus, Name. Amen.

The Gate of Heaven

Scripture For Meditation: Genesis 28:10-16 (NET)

“10Meanwhile Jacob left Beer Sheba and set out for Haran. 11He reached a certain place where he decided to camp because the sun had gone down. He took one of the stones and placed it near his head.

Then he fell asleep in that place 12and had a dream.

He saw a stairway erected on the earth with its top reaching to the heavens. The angels of God were going up and coming down it 13and the LORD stood at its top.

He said, “I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham and the God of your father Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the ground you are lying on. 14Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west, east, north, and south. All the families of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using your name and that of your descendants.

15I am with you! I will protect you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I promised you!”

16Then Jacob woke up and thought, “Surely the LORD is in this place, but I did not realize it!”

17He was afraid and said, “What an awesome place this is! This is nothing else than the house of God! This is the gate of heaven!”

Hallelujah!

JACOB ON THE RUN

This is the story of Jacob, who fearing for his life, was on the run from his brother Esau, after he had deceived and robbed Esau of his inheritance.

Jacob had run away from home, and had gotten to a place where he was tired and spent, decided to lay down his head and sleep. As he did, The bible says:

“He took one of the stones and placed it near his head. Then he fell asleep in that place 12and had a dream.” Gen 28:11-12

Jacob had a revelation of God – He saw a connection between heaven and earth.

Jacob’s Revelation:

• He saw a ladder or stairway erected on the earth with the top reaching to heaven.

• He saw the Angels of God going up and coming down the ladder

• He saw the Lord standing at the top of the ladder

• God spoke to him and made him a promise:

“He said, “I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham and the God of your father Isaac. I will not leave you until I have done what I promised you!” Gen 28:13-15

PRAYER FOCUS:

First, we are going to use Jacob’s vision to start our prayers; then we’ll use his declarations. After this, we’ll use some of the promises that God made to him, to petition God for our own breakthrough.

Jacob’s First Declaration:

16Then Jacob woke up and thought, “Surely the LORD is in this place, but I did not realize it!” 17He was afraid and said, “What an awesome place this is! This is nothing else than the house of God! This is the gate of heaven!”

God is in this place but I did not realise it.

But your own declaration today will be different; it will be:

God is in this place; and that I know very well!

Hallelujah!

Jacob made a second declaration:

What an awesome place this is.

It is time for you to change your confession about where you are, how things have been with you — maybe you have been crying and saying you are in a bad place. Your confession changes this very moment in the mighty Name of Jesus!

Declare it now by faith – What an awesome place this is.

Jacob’s 3rd Declaration:

This is nothing else but the House of God

The House of God Is the Place of His glory. The Place where He makes His tangible presence to be manifest.

Pray that God will make your location; your home, Business, workplace, school, the place of His residence.

Pray that the glory of His presence will be evident in your life and in your situation.

Jacob’s 4th Declaration:

This is the Gate of Heaven!

A gate denotes access or an entry point. Begin to pray and declare that there will be a gateway in your life, to heaven’s riches that God has prepared and made available to you in Christ Jesus as the bible affirms in Ephesians 1:3.

In the place where the sun had set; in the same place where all he had for a pillow to rest his weary head was a stone, God showed up and changed Jacob’s story!

Pray that God will change your story too.

Pray that God will Open the heavens over you and your household in every area of your lives.

Pray that God will cause the former rain and the latter rain to fall upon your land to give you a good harvest for your labour and bring you increase in Jesus’s Name.

Shalom,

Pastor Wale Ola

March 2021 Fasting and Prayers — Day 1

March 2021 Fasting and Prayers — Day 1

Open Heavens

Scripture for Meditation: Acts 10:1-3

“1There was a certain man in Cæsarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

2A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

3He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

4And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.”

Assurance of Faith

We will be talking about open heavens over the next three days as we wait on the Lord in fasting and prayers.

In this first instalment, I will like us to consider some things that we can hold on to, as we stand in prayers to believe God for our breakthrough.

What do we have to do to experience open heavens in our lives?

From the scriptures that we will be meditating on in these series, we will see some helpful patterns emerge. One thing is very certain:

Child of God, you can live under open heavens. It is God’s desire and plan for your life to be lived under, and experience continually open heavens. We are seated with Christ in heavenly places, and we know that Christ is seated in the very presence and at the right hand of the Father.

WHAT TO DO

  • God’s Sovereignty — Many times, God opens the heavens to give man a revelation of His divine presence as a sovereign act without man’s input.
  • Prayers — Our prayers position us to experience open heavens.

In our theme scripture today, Cornelius “provoked” open heavens, as the bible said concerning him:

“Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.”

This is also confirmed by the following two scriptures:

Luke 3:21— “Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened…”

James 5:17-18 —“17Elijah was a human being like us, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain and there was no rain on the land for three years and six months! 18Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land sprouted with a harvest.”

Have you remained steadfast and importunate in your prayers?

  • Giving — In the passage of scripture that we read earlier (Acts 10:3b), Cornelius’s prayers and his generous giving pushed through the heavens to come before God. Your giving (material and financial) can cause the heavens to be open unto you.

Are you generous in your giving?

This principle can also be seen highlighted in Malachi 3:10 — “Bring the entire tithe into the storehouse so that there may be food in my temple. Test me in this matter,“ says the LORD who rules over all, “to see if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until there is no room for it all.”

Are you faithful in your tithes and offerings?

  • Righteous Living and Obedience — As we read in our two scripture passages from Day 1 (In Dt 28:1-23 and 2 Chr 7:13-14), we saw that God warned Israel that the heavens will be shut up against them if they lived in rebellion and sinned against Him; and conversely, He promised Solomon that with repentant heart and righteous living, His people’s prayers will guarantee open heavens over their lives.

Are you living a life of obedience and righteousness?

  • Walking in God’s Purpose — One of the ways for us to enjoy open heavens over our lives is to make a commitment to aligning with and walking in God’s purpose for our lives. When we do this, God backs up His word in our lives with the whole of heaven’s resources made available to fulfil His vision and call for our lives.

Are you walking in alignment with God’s purpose for your life?

  • Faith — This is the building block that underpins every other thing that we have talked about.

It is the assurance of faith that we have in Christ Jesus, that guarantees us access to the throne room of God.

As the bible says in Ephesians 3:12b — “…in whom we have boldness and confident access to God because of Christ’s faithfulness”.

As God did when Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal, and later when he declared to Ahab about God opening up the heavens to send down rain, God honoured Elijah because he honoured and declared God’s words in faith. God responded to Elijah’s faith by opening up the heavens to magnify His Name.

Child of God, God wants to do the same in your life as well.

Will you let Him?

Selah,

Pastor Wale Ola

PRAYER FOCUS

Meditate on the points highlighted above, and use them as a checklist to prepare yourself as we round up our prayers for this month’s fast. Is there anything you need to do or redress in order to position yourself for what we are praying to God for?

Begin to petition God based on His word and pray that you will begin to walk in the tangible manifestation of open heavens over your life—your household, family, ministry, business, finances, church etc.

Declare and confess over your life, that from today, you will begin to operate and live under open heavens. That God will open the heavens unto you and over you.

Declare that every area of your life will begin to manifest the blessings and evidence of open heavens in the Name of Jesus.

February Fasting and Prayers — DAY 1

February Fasting and Prayers — DAY 1

STREAMS OF HEALING FLOW

Main Scripture For Meditation— 1Kings 8:33-53

Focus For This Month

Our fasting and prayers for this month will focus on combining a few of the things that God has been saying to us over the past few weeks.

He has spoken to us about our responsibilities as priests, about Streams of Healing flowing into the land, and at last Friday’s prayer service, we saw how God intervened in the affairs of a besieged nation by coming through for them miraculously to turn around a long-standing dire situation overnight.

Each of the the three days of our prayers will Focus on three areas respectively:

Our Land (Country / Nation)

Our Homes (Families / Marriages / Children / Businesses/ Careers; etc)

The Church (Universal / Local Assembly / Ministries)

What touches the nation affects the homes, what affects the homes reflects on the church and vice versa!

Priests Over The Nations

We will be standing as priests on behalf of the nations, our homes and the church to ask that God will cause the streams of Healing to flow over and into these areas.

We will petition God to bring healing and turn around those situations that have brought pain and discomfort, especially those long standing issues that have challenged the truth of God’s word and prophecies concerning our lives.

Shalom,

Pastor Wale Ola

January Prayer and Fasting Day 2

January Prayer and Fasting Day 2

STREAMS OF HEALING

Scripture For Meditation — Ezekiel 47:8-12; Rev 22:1-5; 2 Chronicles 7:14

Our scripture for meditation today is a key integral part of a prophetic word that God gave to us as we waited on Him in fasting and prayers at the end of last year.

He said that He would cause Streams of Healing to flow into our homes.

In retrospect, especially having experienced a few particular incidences since the turn of the New Year, I realise that maybe we did not quite pay as much attention to that prophetic word as we should have; maybe we missed a subtle message in that prophecy that we should have been particularly aware of.

PAY ATTENTION!

Just think about it… If God has said He will cause “Streams of Healing” to flow into our homes, would that not also suggest that there will be incidences of sicknesses that would be prevalent all around that we would need His healing power to keep away from our homes?

Indeed, as we think about that, I’m sure a few of us will notice how that has been a thing in our lives, in our families or in the lives of people that we know or are acquainted with. There seems to have been a persistent attack on people’s health since the turn of the New Year, both physically and mentally.

And even in many nations especially in the UK, the scourge of the Covid-19 pandemic seems to have taken a new lease of life, infecting many at an alarming rate, and taking lives with daily death tolls in the last few weeks rising to unprecedented levels.

But friends, God gave us a word of assurance before all this began to happen!

He said He will cause Streams of Healing / Healing Streams to flow into our homes and lives.

As the NLT translated verse 12 of Ezekiel 47:

“Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.”

There will be healing wherever the river flows…

While the world awaits a vaccine, we already have an antidote to the scourge; a sure defence against the spirit of infirmity that is plaguing the nations of the world.

Whatever the sickness, whatever the ailments, the River of God; the Living waters, the River of life; the life-flow from the blood that Jesus shed for us on Calvary’s Cross — The power in the blood that flows from the Marcy seat, from the Throne of Grace is indeed a veritable defence against all the storms of the enemy. Hallelujah!

Shalom,

Pastor Wale Ola

Prayer Focus

• Let’s stand as priests on behalf of our nations and the Church and let’s cry out to God for mercy and an outpouring of His grace.

• Pray for God to bring healing and deliverance to the nations, into our communities, our households and everywhere the River flows.

• Let’s pray for Streams of Healing to flow from the Throne of Grace into our homes and into our lives to bring restoration and refreshing, and establish the Shalom peace of God in every area of our lives in Jesus’s Name.

• Let’s stand in the gap for the sick, the unwell or oppressed, and let’s rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’s Name and let’s petition God to heal them and deliver them from their affliction and pains and make them whole in Jesus’s Name. Amen.

January Prayer and Fasting Day 1

January Prayer and Fasting Day 1

The River of God

Scriptures For Meditation — Ezekiel 47:1-12

God showed Prophet Ezekiel a vision of the River of God flowing out from the sanctuary down through the desert and finally emptying into the valley of the dead sea.

Very significantly, we will notice that as God led the prophet away from the Temple and onto the streets, the depth of the river continued to increase the further away from the Temple He was. Also, the consequence or the impact of this River as it flows through the different regions that it touches, is quite profound!

As the NLT bible translated verse 9,

“There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows.”

And it goes on in verse 12 of the same translation:

“Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.”

Dead things come alive and living things thrive even more; there’s prosperity on every side and barren desert places become fruitful. There will be sustained nourishment and every month will yield its increase!

Oh that that same River will flow into our ministry, our homes and our nation. What a glorious change it would make in our lives!

Let’s reach out to God and believe Him together for this miracle in Jesus’s Name!

Shalom,

Pastor Wale Ola

Prayer Focus

In keeping with our prayer focus for our fasting this month, we’ll be using these verses to pray for souls for GLA and the prosperity of the ministry, our nation(s) ourselves and our families.

• First , let’s pray for God to take us deeper in our walk with Him and cause His presence to be tangibly manifest in every area of our lives.

• Let’s pray for the River of God to flow into every part of this ministry, into our homes and all across this nation and to bring revival wherever it flows.

• Pray for fruitfulness on every side; for the efforts and work of the ministry and your personal endeavours to bear fruit.

• Pray that every month of this year will see souls saved and added to the church from all the nations of the world.

• Pray that God will establish and cause those who are already planted in the church to flourish and be grounded in Him.

End of Year Fasting and Prayers (Days 7 – 18)

End of Year Fasting and Prayers (Days 7 – 18)

Speak Forth…

Scriptures For Meditation — Ps 139:15-16; Matthew 6:9-13; Matthew 18:18-20

Welcome to Day 7 of our 21-day fasting and prayers.

Over the next 12 days, we will be praying prophetically into each of the months of the coming year from January to December, focusing on each month on each day.

As the Bible says of our God in Psalm 139:15-16,

You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

Every single on of our days was fashioned by God before we were even born. Think about that for a moment — God, the Architect and Builder of our lives, had His Masterplan and the divine script for our lives drawn out before we came to be physically.

That’s why the Bible says in Romans 4:17, that God brings the dead back to life and He creates new things out of nothing — He calls the things that do not yet exist as though they were. Because He speaks according to what He had already purposed concerning that thing.

With that understanding, we must realise that 2020 did not catch God unawares, and the coming days in 2021 and even up till eternity have been intricately mapped out in His divine plan, and that He has an agenda already established for your life as His perfect will for you to fulfil.

Let’s all come together and stand in agreement, as we pray for the will of God concerning us to be fulfilled in Jesus’s Name.

Prayer Guideline For Days 7-18

1. As we pray Into 2021, we will be praying that our lives will agree with, align with and mirror only what God has ordained for us as His perfect will for the year.

2. We will be praying for the nation in which we live, that the policies and governance will favour us and our wellbeing.

3. We will pray that God will honour His word (Ex 23:25) that He will bless our bread and water and take sickness away from our midst, and keep our households safe from all sickness and affliction.

And also, we will pray that as the inevitable economic effects of the pandemic begin to manifest in different areas of the economy, God will preserve us, protect and cover us from these negative effects, and prosper the work of our hands and bless our labour in Jesus’s Name.

4. We will pray for the establishment that we work with, institution /school that we study in or the industry that we are a part of, that God will grant us favour to excel, prosper and walk upon our high places.

5. We will pray for God to bless the ministry of this church, direction for the leadership, spiritual, numerical and material growth and tangible impact and effectiveness in the ministry and lives of our church family.

6. We will also intercede for every member of this church and their household, for God to keep, protect and prosper them, and work miracles in their lives to answer the petitions that they have long believed God for, in 2021

7. We will stand in agreement with our brethren, that 2021 will be a year of unparalleled favour, advancement and prosperity in Jesus’s Name.

8. We declare that our lives are hid with Christ in God; we speak the peace of Christ into every month and pray for God to frustrate every plan of the devil to steal, kill or destroy.

9. Bring your personal prayer requests before God; ask Him for clarity of vision and His direction for your life for the year 2021.

10. Pray For the release of all the resources that you need for His will to be fulfilled in your life and for your vision for the year to be accomplished.

11. Listen to the Holy Spirit and write down what He will will minister to you as you pray.

12. End each day with prophetic declarations about how your life will be, how this ministry will be and how your nation will be, thanking God for answering the prayers that we have brought before Him.

Amen

End of Year Fasting and Prayers (Day 6 of 21)

End of Year Fasting and Prayers (Day 6 of 21)

SURE FOOTED AND SAFE

Scriptures For Meditation — Habakkuk 3:19; Phil 2:9-11; Eph 2:4-6

We have talked about two kinds of high places in the past two days — the high places from where demonic altars and powers of darkness operate, and the High Place were the Lord God almighty is seated on His Throne in majesty above the heavens.

Today we’ll be looking at another high places that the bible talks about in Habakkuk 3:19 —

The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

This verse of scripture short as it is, powerfully captures a statement of faith by prophet Habakkuk, who had in the preceding two verses spoken a declaration of his trust in God, even in spite of contrary situations. Here, he tells us the reason for his unshaken confidence in God —

1. The Lord God is my strength.

This is an acknowledgment of Jehovah as the Source of His sustenance. Even if the harvest were to fail and the storehouse were to be empty, he was confident that his sustenance will not be determined by these things, as Jehovah would take care of Him and uphold him.

2. He will make my feet like hind’s feet.

Hinds (deers) are gifted with sure-footed ness as they navigate the rocky terrains of the mountainous heights that other animals can’t reach.

The Hind is a very graceful animal that glides through rocky obstacles effortlessly and purposefully. Habakkuk was declaring here that God would make his feet suitable for both the task and the terrain he has to pass through.

3. He will make me walk upon my high places.

As the deer bounds up those hills, due to its purposely adapted feet, it is secure and safe because it’s adversaries are unable to pursue it onto the heights that it can reach.

Friend, there’s a high place in Christ that God has prepared for you. A place where the enemy cannot follow you into. It is a place of security, promotion and advancement; it is a place of victory and a place of Holiness. And you will get there in Jesus’s Name because God has prepared you specially to fulfill your purpose and bring glory to His Name.

Selah

Prayer Focus

Let’s also make the declarations that Habakkuk made in this text. He is your strength and your buckler.

Ask him to make you sure footed as you navigate the path that He has ordained for you to walk in.

Pray that He will take you far above the reach or sight of the enemy and cause you to walk upon your high places as He has written concerning your life.

End of Year Fasting and Prayers (Day 5 of 21)

End of Year Fasting and Prayers (Day 5 of 21)

Jehovah El-Elyon

Scriptures For Meditation — Judges 6:25-28; Phil 2:9-11; Eph 1:19-22

In yesterday’s blog, we spoke about the“high places” of the powers of darkness and Satan’s inordinate ambition and his abject failure to exalt himself and his throne above God’s dominion and authority.

The bible tells us that our God, Jehovah, is the Most High God. There is no throne or dominion or kingdom that is higher than His Authority. He is the Creator, Controller and Possessor of all things visible and invisible. His Majesty is unparalleled and His Power is without limits.

Concerning His Son Jesus Christ who He has made to be the heir of all things, the Bible also tells us that—

God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil 2:9-11)

And again, that He is head over all principalities and powers and thrones and dominions.

So when we prayed yesterday for God to take down all the demonic altars that are operating against us from the high places of the powers of darkness, we are praying from a position of authority and assured victory because we speak and stand in the Name of Jesus.

God told Gideon —

Jdg 6:25 That night the LORD said to Gideon, “Take the second bull from your father’s herd, the one that is seven years old. Pull down your father’s altar to Baal, and cut down the Asherah pole standing beside it.

Jdg 6:26 Then build an altar to the LORD your God here on this hilltop sanctuary, laying the stones carefully. Sacrifice the bull as a burnt offering on the altar, using as fuel the wood of the Asherah pole you cut down.”

Jdg 6:27 So Gideon took ten of his servants and did as the LORD had commanded. But he did it at night because he was afraid of the other members of his father’s household and the people of the town.

Jdg 6:28 Early the next morning, as the people of the town began to stir, someone discovered that the altar of Baal had been broken down and that the Asherah pole beside it had been cut down. In their place a new altar had been built, and on it were the remains of the bull that had been sacrificed.

Friends, it is not enough for us to just take down the Satanic altars; we must also replace them with a new altar to the Most High God —

There cannot, must not be a “power vacuum” in our lives!

Prayer Focus

Today, we are going to raise an altar to the One and only True and Living God on the high places, give Him the highest praise and worship and bring our sacrifices of thanksgiving to Him.

First, let’s pray for ourselves, what Paul prayed for the Church at Ephesus —

Eph 1:19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power

Eph 1:20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

Eph 1:21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.

Eph 1:22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.

Let’s lift up our voices and declare His majesty over every area of our lives.

Let’s enforce His authority and victory over our lives and every situation that we may be going through.

Let’s pray that every contrary situation in our lives and household will bow before the awesomeness of His power and align with His counsel concerning our destinies in Jesus’s Name.

Shalom,

Pastor Wale Ola

End of Year Fasting and Prayers (Day 4 of 21)

End of Year Fasting and Prayers (Day 4 of 21)

Tearing Down The Strange Altars

Scriptures For Meditation — Judges 6:1-27; 2Kings 23:1-8; Eph 6:12

Welcome to Day 4 of our corporate fasting and prayers. Over the next 3 days, we will be dealing with High Places, as a preparation to praying and prophesying into each month of the coming year 2021, from Day 7.

Today, the focus will be on tearing down the altars on the high places of the kingdom of darkness.

As the bible tells us in Eph 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

In bible times, the priests and worshippers of the demon gods would often situate the altars to their deities on the high places. This is also in keeping with the desire of Satan to exalt his throne above the throne of God as the bible tells us in Isaiah 14:12-17

Isa 14:12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world.

Isa 14:13 For you said to yourself, ‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north.

Isa 14:14 I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.’

Isa 14:15 Instead, you will be brought down to the place of the dead, down to its lowest depths.

Isa 14:16 Everyone there will stare at you and ask, ‘Can this be the one who shook the earth and made the kingdoms of the world tremble?

Isa 14:17 Is this the one who destroyed the world and made it into a wasteland? Is this the king who demolished the world’s greatest cities and had no mercy on his prisoners?’

As we read in our opening two Scriptures today, in both Gideon’s and Josiah’s lives, tearing down of demonic altars and getting rid of tokens of idolatry were the precursors to revival and restoration.

Today, we will be doing the same. We are going to tear down every demonic altar from which the enemy has been speaking against our lives and destinies.

We will also allow God to search our lives and expose whatever altars we may ourselves have built in our lives that have empowered the works of darkness in, or against us.

Shalom!

PRAYER FOCUS

Let’s ask God to reveal whatever has become an idol in our lives that is hindering our walk with Him or His work in our lives.

Let’s repent and remove every token of idolatry from our lives —Those things that have taken the place of God in our lives; those things that have stood between us and the will of God, preventing us from giving Him all the worship and adoration that are due to Him.

Let’s also ask that God will remove us from the influence of whatever satanic altars that may be active and operational in our family lines that are working against us, and are opening us to demonic Interference. (We saw how Gideon suffered the consequences of this in his life until God instructed him to tear it down)

Let’s pray that God will frustrate and destroy all the works of the enemy that he has fashioned against us, and let’s declare by faith, that it is only the counsel of the Lord that will stand in our lives and in our household in Jesus’s Name.

Let’s thank God for coming to our aid and for protecting and delivering us from the plans and wiles of the enemy against us.
